Dr Juned Shaikh is a general Paediatrician VMO at Blacktown Hospital, Mount Druitt Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital. He worked as a VMO at Hawksbury Hospital for 10 years. He completed undergraduate and Paediatric training from the Baroda Medical college, India and he migrated to Australia in early 2000 where he completed fellowship training from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Dr Shaikh's training included extensive experience in Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatric Intensive Care, Emergency Paediatrics, Developmental and Community Paediatrics. He completed Paediatric training from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and has had 27 years of experience working in the field of Paediatrics. Additionally, he has been working as the Paediatric Head of Department at Westmead Private Hospital since the last 2 years. He has been a member of the Royal college of paediatric, the neurodevelopmental & behavioural paediatric society of Australia and AADPA.
He has a special interest in the field of neonatology and behavioural issues such as developmental delay, ADHD, learning disorder and autism. Dr Shaikh has been involved in the undergraduate and post graduate teaching of medical students from the University of Notre Dame for the last 10 yrs. He has been working as a conjoint senior lecturer at the University of Western Sydney. Finally, Dr Shaikh is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu.
